### Job Overview
Ataraxis is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification & Prior Authorization Specialist to support healthcare providers with insurance eligibility verification, benefits checks, and prior authorization processing. The ideal candidate has experience working with U.S. healthcare insurance companies and ensuring timely approvals for medical services.
### Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility, coverage, benefits, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
- Submit and track prior authorization requests for medical services, procedures, and medications.
- Contact insurance companies to confirm requirements, coverage, and authorization status.
- Follow up on pending, denied, or incomplete authorization requests.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all verification and authorization activities.
- Coordinate with providers, billing teams, and insurance representatives to resolve issues.
### Qualifications
- Experience in U.S. healthcare insurance verification and/or prior authorization.
- Knowledge of insurance portals, payer requirements, and medical terminology.
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests.
- Experience with EHR systems and healthcare administrative workflows is preferred.
