Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Design:
- Develop polished, thoughtful, and brand-consistent design work across marketing campaigns.
- Develop and optimize web imagery using existing assets and leveraging AI to create new assets, maintaining strong brand consistency, quality, and file optimization.
- Create mock content to be integrated into branded trade show displays within web images.
Design compelling email layouts and imagery based on concept briefs.
- Help develop and maintain brand style guidelines covering imagery, iconography, typography, color palettes, and other visual standards.
- Design high-quality sales enablement materials, including capabilities decks, sales presentations, sell sheets, postcards, and other digital and physical assets that help the sales team communicate effectively.
- Build professional, editable MS PowerPoint presentations using proper template architecture, including slide masters, custom layouts, theme-level colors and fonts, and placeholder-based text and image frames. Create templates that allow the sales team to confidently edit content without breaking alignment or brand standards.
- Own and maintain the collateral library, including source files, version control, and updates as products, pricing, and messaging evolve.
Client-Facing Design:
- Execute quicker-turn graphic design projects from clear briefs and mockups, balancing speed with quality and accuracy.
- Follow provided direction closely while using your design expertise to identify anything that needs clarification, and communicate directly with customers when needed.
Own the Quality of Your Work:
- Treat every deliverable as yours from start to finish. Before anything leaves your hands, review the entire piece, not just the areas that were edited.
- Check alignment, spacing, margins, sizing, typography, image placement, and overall visual balance, and make any additional adjustments needed to deliver a polished final product.
Bring Strong Design Judgment:
- When a requested change creates a new design problem, identify it, resolve it, and recommend a better approach when needed.
Protect and Strengthen the Brand:
- Maintain consistency across every touchpoint. Review existing collateral before creating new work so related products, campaigns, and messages feel like part of the same brand system.
- Proactively identify and update outdated materials, and flag assets or directions that conflict with established brand standards rather than reproducing the inconsistency.
Think Beyond the Brief:
- Build a genuine understanding of the business, products, and customers so routine design work doesn't require step-by-step direction.
- Learn the standard creative needs associated with product launches and use previous launches to anticipate what will be needed.
- Keep design projects moving efficiently by using available approved information or clearly marked placeholder copy when final copy is unavailable.
Contribute Creatively:
- Look beyond requests. Periodically review the website, existing collateral, competitor creative, and relevant market trends, then bring forward specific ideas and recommendations.
- Introduce new formats, visual treatments, and campaign concepts that expand what the team can produce rather than relying solely on existing templates and assets.
Communicate Effectively:
- Provide clear progress updates on completed work, project status, and expected timelines.
- Flag conflicting instructions, missing assets, copy issues, and brand inconsistencies early.
- Ask targeted questions when clarification is needed and communicate directly with the team or customer when necessary.
Increase Creative Output:
- Find smarter ways to produce more high-quality work without sacrificing standards.
- Build reusable templates, organize working files, batch similar projects, and use AI tools appropriately to improve production efficiency.
