About the role
A small, busy creative agency based in Sydney, Australia is looking for a talented Short-Form Video Editor VA to join their team.
The agency creates social media content for construction and building companies, including site walkthroughs, finished project videos and face-to-camera content.
This role is perfect for someone who loves creating clean, premium and engaging Instagram Reels and wants to become the go-to editor for a creative team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Edit up to 10 Instagram Reels per week, around 30–60 seconds each
Turn construction site footage and project montages into polished Reels
Edit face-to-camera videos by removing pauses, mistakes and retakes while keeping them natural
Add accurate closed captions to every video
Follow client and agency brand guidelines consistently
Organise footage and finished videos in Google Drive
Deliver completed edits within 2–3 days of receiving footage
Support the team with admin, timesheets and monthly social media reporting
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Portfolio with at least 3 short-form videos you personally edited
Proven experience creating Instagram Reels, TikToks or YouTube Shorts
Strong CapCut skills preferred; Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro also welcome
Experience editing face-to-camera content naturally
Strong written English for accurate captions
Ability to produce around 5 finished Reels in an 8-hour day
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Part-time | 3 days/week | Approximately 24 hours/week
Sydney business hours (6 AM–2 PM Manila time October–April, 7 AM–3 PM April–October due to daylight saving)
Start: End of October 2026
Probation: 6 months
