Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Licensed MEP Engineer to design, review, and approve MEP systems for commercial projects. The ideal candidate has strong professional experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or fire protection systems and is qualified to review and sign off on engineering plans as permitted by their professional license.
Key Responsibilities
Design and review HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial projects.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, plans, and technical specifications.
Review and approve/sign off on commercial engineering plans within the scope of professional licensure.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, AutoCAD technicians, and other engineering professionals.
Review shop drawings, equipment selections, and installation requirements.
Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and engineering standards.
Identify and resolve technical and design issues.
Provide technical direction to drafting and AutoCAD team members.
Support projects through design, construction, testing, and commissioning as required.
Qualifications
Active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license applicable to the work performed.
Several years of professional MEP engineering experience.
Proven experience with commercial engineering projects.
Experience reviewing and approving professional engineering plans.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
Revit experience is a plus.
Familiarity with applicable U.S. building codes and engineering standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
