About the role
A European custom-apparel brand (socks, sweaters, beanies, gloves, all fully custom-branded for distributors) is adding a part-time Vector Production Designer through Armasourcing. Their in-house creatives design the products. You turn the approved artwork into clean, factory-ready vector files so the creatives can stay creative.
This is a placement with a client, managed by Armasourcing. It starts part-time at about 24 hours a week. The client has said full-time and creative design work are next if it goes well.
- Redraw customer artwork (PDF, JPG, PNG) as clean vector files in Adobe Illustrator
- Reduce colours to the factory spot-colour palette and keep shapes knit and print friendly
- Convert text to outlines, set artboards to the product template, name and export files the way the factory needs
- Build repeats properly (bands, patterns) instead of copy and paste
- Turn files around quickly and flag anything that will not reproduce well before it reaches the factory
What we are looking for
- Adobe Illustrator every day: pen tool, image trace clean-up, pathfinder, swatches, layers, outlines
- Real experience preparing files for production: apparel, embroidery, screen print, sublimation, knit, or packaging prepress
- An eye for clean geometry and exact colour separation
Reliable 24 hours a week with 2 to 3 hours of overlap in the European morning (about 3 to 6 pm Manila)
- Clear written English. Dutch or German reading is a bonus, not a requirement
