Wedding Weekender is a camcorder rental and video editing service that puts the camera in the hands of guests. We ship a fully equipped Sony 4K camcorder to couples before their big day so their friends and family can capture every candid, unscripted moment — the dance floor chaos, the happy tears, the after-party. Role Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented creative to serve as the final quality checkpoint before our wedding videos are delivered to clients. This is a fully remote contractor role that offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work from anywhere.
By the time a video reaches you, it has already been edited and gone through an initial creative review. Your role is to ensure every film is polished, technically sound, and truly ready for delivery. You'll verify that requested revisions have been completed correctly, identify anything that may have been missed, and make sure every video meets Wedding Weekender's storytelling and quality standards before giving it the final stamp of approval.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong editing background who loves the finishing touches of post-production. You have an exceptional eye for detail, can spot issues quickly, and take pride in delivering work that's polished, consistent, and client-ready. You're able to make confident decisions without overthinking every frame, balancing speed with an uncompromising standard of quality.
Compensation is $1,350 per month.
What You'll Do
- Perform the final review of completed wedding videos before delivery.
- Verify that all requested revisions have been completed correctly.
- Catch technical issues such as:
- Audio inconsistencies
- Missing fades
- Abrupt cuts
- Cropping or framing problems
- Color or exposure issues
- Export or formatting issues
- Ensure every video meets Wedding Weekender's storytelling, pacing, and quality standards
- Maintain consistent quality across every Wedding Weekender film.
- Provide concise, actionable feedback when additional edits are needed.
- Give the final approval for videos that are ready to be delivered to clients.
What We're Looking For
- Professional experience editing video.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong creative instincts for storytelling, pacing, and music.
- Ability to identify both technical and creative issues.
- Efficient decision-making and time management.
- Clear written communication when providing editor feedback.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is preferred.
- Wedding or event editing experience is a plus.
