JF Electrical & Security Systems Ltd is a growing electrical and security company providing professional services including CCTV installation, burglar alarms, security systems, security lighting, electrical work, maintenance and monitoring.
We are looking for a motivated, creative and results-driven Digital Marketing & Business Development Assistant to help us increase our online presence, generate more enquiries and grow the business.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage our digital marketing while also helping us turn online enquiries into genuine customers.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the role rather than simply creating occasional social media posts.
The Role
You will be responsible for promoting JF Electrical & Security Systems Ltd across our website, Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
Your main goal will be to generate more local enquiries, improve our online visibility and help convert those enquiries into jobs.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management
- Manage and update our Wix/Shopify website
- Add and edit services
- Update service descriptions, pricing and information where required
- Upload project photographs and videos
- Create new service pages where appropriate
- Improve website content for SEO
- Make sure contact forms and enquiry methods are working correctly
- Regularly review the website and identify improvements
- Ensure the website looks professional and represents the quality of our work
SEO & Google
- Improve our website’s visibility on Google
- Carry out basic keyword research
- Optimise service pages for relevant searches
- Help target local areas and surrounding towns
- Improve local SEO
- Manage and update our Google Business Profile
- Create regular Google Business Profile posts
- Upload photographs of completed work
- Encourage and help manage customer reviews
- Monitor our Google rankings and visibility
Social Media
Manage and grow our:
Responsibilities include:
- Create regular posts
- Create before-and-after content
- Promote completed jobs
- Showcase CCTV and alarm installations
- Create educational and informative content
- Create promotional content
- Keep up with relevant social media trends
- Schedule posts
- Increase engagement and followers
- Develop content ideas specifically designed to generate enquiries
Content Creation
- Create professional graphics using Canva
- Edit short videos, Reels and TikToks
- Edit footage from CCTV installations and electrical/security projects
- Turn completed jobs into social media content
- Create promotional videos
- Create educational videos explaining our services
- Develop content that builds trust with potential customers

Facebook & Instagram Advertising
- Create and manage Meta advertising campaigns
- Promote CCTV installations
- Promote burglar alarms
- Promote electrical services
- Target relevant local areas
- Test different adverts and audiences
- Monitor advertising spend
- Track enquiries generated from adverts
- Improve campaigns based on results
- Identify which services produce the best return
Google Ads
- Create and manage Google Ads campaigns
- Target customers searching for our services
- Develop campaigns around high-intent searches
- Monitor clicks, enquiries and advertising costs
- Identify which keywords and services perform best
- Make regular improvements to campaigns
Customer Enquiries & Lead Management
A key part of the role will be helping manage incoming leads.
You will:
- Monitor enquiries from Facebook, Instagram and the website
- Respond to basic customer enquiries
- Gather the information needed from potential customers
- Follow up leads where appropriate
- Record enquiries and their source
- Keep track of potential jobs
- Identify which marketing channels are generating customers
- Pass suitable enquiries to the business owner/engineer for quoting
You should understand that the aim isn’t simply to get likes and followers — it is to generate genuine enquiries and booked jobs.
Competitor Research
- Research local electrical and security companies
- Monitor competitor websites
- Monitor competitor social media
- Research their advertising
- Compare services and offers
- Identify opportunities for JF Electrical & Security Systems Ltd
- Keep up with industry trends
- Suggest new services, offers and marketing opportunities
Customer Reviews & Reputation
- Help increase the number of genuine Google reviews
- Monitor customer feedback
- Help showcase positive reviews across social media
- Respond to reviews where appropriate
- Build a strong and professional online reputation
Weekly Marketing Report
You will provide a weekly report showing:
- Website traffic
- Google visibility
- Social media growth
- Social media engagement
- Number of enquiries
- Where enquiries came from
- Advertising spend
- Advertising results
- Cost per lead where possible
- Best-performing content
- Best-performing services
- Leads generated
- Jobs generated from marketing
- What was completed that week
- What needs improving
- Recommendations for the following week

Experience in electrical, security, CCTV, alarms, construction, trades or another local service business would be a major advantage, but is not essential.

“How can I turn this job into a Reel, Google post, Facebook advert, website case study and a source of new enquiries?”
You should be someone who actively looks for opportunities to grow the business and is comfortable suggesting new ideas.
