Job Overview:
We're looking for a detail-driven Marketing Assistant to support a US-based marketing consultant who runs email and SMS campaigns for music festivals, nightclubs, DJs, and live event brands. This role is ideal for someone who knows their way around Klaviyo, has a good eye for design, and takes pride in getting things out the door clean. Most of the work is campaign execution, with social media content for the agency's own channels mixed in. You'll handle campaigns end to end while your manager provides the strategy, the calendar, and the creative direction, along with direct training and ongoing coaching. You'll work directly with your manager, who handles all client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Email & SMS Campaign Execution
Campaign Build: Take weekly campaigns from brief to send. Design the email, write the copy, build it in Klaviyo, add links, and create the segments.
Design: Produce on-brand email and SMS creative using provided assets and creative direction, building new templates where none exist yet.
Quality Assurance: Send tests and check every campaign before deployment. Links, rendering, segments, and send times.
Revisions: Apply feedback quickly and accurately, often on short turnarounds tied to event dates.
Automation: Set up and test automation flows, including welcome series and multi-touch sequences.
Reporting & Recommendations
Post-Send Analysis: Pull opens, clicks, and ticket sales after each send.
Recommendations: Flag what's working and what isn't, and suggest what to run next.
Optimization: Look for ways to make designs and campaigns stronger over time rather than repeating the same format indefinitely.
Calendar & Project Management
Calendar Ownership: Work from the campaign calendar and build ahead rather than waiting for assignments.
Follow-Through: Track open items so nothing tied to an event date gets missed.
Proactive Updates: Keep your manager informed on progress, blockers, and anything at risk before it becomes a problem.
Social & Content Support
Social Content: Edit existing assets into carousels, reels, and graphics for the agency's own channels as workload allows.
Influencer Support: Assist with outreach lists, tracking, and asset coordination during active campaign periods.
Qualifications:
Experience: Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or a comparable email platform, building campaigns and automation flows yourself. Background in email marketing, CRM, or digital marketing preferred. Experience with music, live events, nightlife, or entertainment brands is a plus.
Technical Skills: Confident with design tools, ideally Figma or Photoshop. Canva is acceptable. Familiarity with Hive is a plus. Comfort with Slack and Google Workspace.
Design Eye: Able to take a brief and produce polished, on-brand creative without heavy direction.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous about the small things that make or break a send. This is the most important quality for this role.
Proactive Communication: Raises questions early instead of working through uncertainty alone, and keeps their manager ahead of deadlines, blockers, and anything that needs a second look.
Accountability: Owns their work, including the parts that go wrong, and focuses on the fix rather than the explanation.
Adaptability: Comfortable learning by working alongside a manager rather than following a detailed manual, and able to pivot as priorities shift.
Organizational Skills: Able to manage multiple campaigns and event deadlines at once without dropping commitments.
Reliability: Consistently present and reachable during working hours.
What We Offer:
Full-time, long-term role
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Paid U.S. holiday leaves
Medical stipend after 3 months
Direct training and mentorship from an experienced marketing consultant
Room to grow into expanded responsibility over time
Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. Applications will be accepted until the role is filled.
