About the role
We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team and support construction and restoration projects in the United States.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of US construction practices and estimating and must have hands-on experience using Xactimate.
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate construction and restoration estimates using Xactimate.
Review project scopes, photos, reports, and other documentation to determine project costs.
Prepare estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project expenses.
Review and update estimates as project requirements change.
Compare estimates with project scopes and identify missing or inaccurate items.
Communicate with project managers, contractors, insurance adjusters, and other team members as needed.
Assist with supplement estimates and revisions when required.
Maintain accurate and organized project and estimating documentation.
Complete other estimating-related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Construction Estimator is required.
Strong hands-on experience using Xactimate is required.
Experience estimating for US-based construction, restoration, insurance, or property damage projects.
Strong understanding of construction materials, labor, and costs.
Ability to read and understand project scopes, plans, and construction-related documents.
Experience preparing accurate and detailed estimates.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in property restoration, insurance claims, or disaster restoration.
Experience with water, fire, storm, mold, or other property damage restoration projects.
Experience preparing supplements or working with insurance-related estimates.
Familiarity with construction project management software and other estimating tools.
We're looking for someone who can confidently prepare accurate, detailed estimates and understands the expectations and standards of the US construction and/or restoration industry.
Note: his is a fully remote role, so employees are responsible for maintaining a reliable work-from-home setup, including equipment and internet connection. For Philippine-based candidates, a dependable power backup (UPS, power station, or generator) is required to ensure uninterrupted work. Proof of backup will be requested prior to onboarding.
