WE’RE HIRING: BOOKKEEPER
AUSTRALIAN BOOKKEEPING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The Study Hub is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team!
We’re seeking someone with strong experience in Australian bookkeeping, Xero, and payroll who can help us maintain accurate financial records, manage day-to-day finances, and support the continued growth of our tutoring business.
POSITION DETAILS
- Location: Remote
- Working Hours: 5–10 hours per week
- Business Time Zone: Sydney, Australia (AEST/AEDT as applicable)
- Hourly Rate: $7-$15 AUD/hour
- Growth Opportunity: Potential to transition into a permanent part-time role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero.
- Record and categorise income and expenses.
- Reconcile bank transactions and Stripe payouts.
- Process weekly payroll for tutors and staff.
- Monitor superannuation and Australian payroll compliance requirements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit and Loss statements.
- Assist with cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with Australian businesses.
- Strong proficiency in Xero (required).
- Knowledge of Australian bookkeeping, payroll, GST, BAS, and superannuation requirements.
- Experience with bank and Stripe reconciliations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
