About the role
We are launching a YouTube channel focused on cancer education, behind-the-scenes cancer research, and science communication, hosted by a practicing oncologist-turned-researcher based in Singapore. The channel publishes 2 long-form videos (15 minutes) and 7 short-form videos every single week. Looking for a highly skilled, reliable Video Editor for a stable, long-term remote role.
Weekly Deliverables: 2 fully edited long-form videos per week. 7 fully edited short-form vertical videos (Shorts) per week. 4 thumbnail options per long video (A/B test pairs). 2 Facebook-optimised video exports.
Technical Requirements: Primary editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro CC (preferred) or DaVinci Resolve 18+. Thumbnail software: Adobe Photoshop CC or Canva Pro. Computer capable of real-time 4K editing, minimum 16GB RAM, dedicated GPU, SSD storage. Stable broadband, minimum 20 Mbps upload.
Mandatory Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional YouTube video editing experience with portfolio. Demonstrated experience editing educational, science, health, or documentary-style content. Strong written and spoken English.
Hiring Process: Application review within 2-3 weeks. Shortlisting of top 5-10 candidates for a virtual call. Paid test task — 30 minutes of raw footage, produce a 15 minute edited video plus 1 thumbnail. Final 30-minute video call. Offer sent in writing within 3 days.
