Auto Medic Dent Repair (AMDR) | Remote Contract Position
Hours: CST Hours
Pay: Negotiable based on experience.
AMDR is looking for an experienced virtual estimator fluent in CCC ONE to write collision and PDR (paintless dent repair) estimates and supplements, and to manage day-to-day communication with insurance adjustors on active claims. This is a remote position, but you must be able to work hours that overlap significantly with our Central Time (CST) business hours.
This is a great fit for someone who has worked inside a body shop or insurance DRP environment and is comfortable owning the estimating and claims process from intake to settlement, without needing close supervision.
What You'll Do
- Write accurate initial estimates in CCC ONE for incoming vehicles (collision and PDR jobs), including correct parts, labor operations, paint/materials, and OEM procedures
- Write and submit supplements as additional damage is discovered, with clear documentation and photos to support each line item
- Communicate directly with insurance adjustors to negotiate line items, follow up on claim status, and resolve discrepancies
- Review estimates for accuracy before submission — labor times, parts pricing, paint codes, and applicable not-included operations
- Track claims from first estimate through final payout, keeping customer and vehicle records up to date
- Flag any claims that are stalled, underpaid, or need escalation
- Maintain clear, organized notes per claim/vehicle so the shop team always knows where each job stands
Required Qualifications:
- Fluent in CCC ONE — comfortable writing estimates and supplements independently, not just reviewing them
- Solid working knowledge of the auto insurance claims process (DRP claims, total loss vs. repairable, deductibles, betterment, supplements, etc.)
- Experience working directly with insurance adjustors — confident negotiating line items and following up professionally
- Strong written and spoken English; comfortable on calls/emails with adjustors and customers
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet work setup
- Able to work hours that overlap with CST business hours (please specify your available overlap window when applying)
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Prior experience specifically with PDR estimating, not just traditional collision
- Familiarity with major insurance carriers' DRP programs and portals
Experience with body shop management software beyond CCC ONE (e.g., Mitchell, Audatex)
- Background working inside a body shop, claims department, or as a virtual estimator for multiple shops
