About the role
Maintain accurate general ledger records for multiple client accounts. Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan transactions. Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules. Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Review transactions for proper coding and classification. Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting reports. Support month-end and year-end close activities. Analyze account variances and investigate discrepancies. Assist with budgeting and forecasting support. Prepare client reporting packages. Support payroll reconciliations and payroll-related accounting processes. Assist with billing, invoicing, and payroll funding reconciliations. Respond to client accounting requests and questions professionally. Maintain organized digital files, workpapers, and documentation. Support audit, tax, and compliance-related requests.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles. Experience with QuickBooks Online. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal English. Experience managing multiple clients, projects, or deadlines simultaneously. Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office setup.
Tools: QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace.
Bonus: Experience with US-based accounting firms. Payroll accounting experience. Experience with Bill.com, Ramp, ADP, or Gusto. CPA or CPA candidate.
Schedule: Full-time remote. Must overlap with US Eastern Time business hours.
