About the role
We're a fine art transportation and white-glove logistics company operating across California. We need an experienced Shopify developer to build a custom booking and quoting system for our website.
Project Type: Project-based. 2-week timeline.
What You'll Be Building: A multi-step intake flow with service area routing, item category selection, and detailed conditional questions per item type. Complex fixed-price logic across dozens of item types, with tiered surcharges. An automatic 10% discount rule on qualifying orders. Calendar/scheduling integration tied to pickup region and route days. Multiple payment paths (Zelle, card/PayPal/Venmo, check). Automated internal notifications with full job details.
Apps to Configure: Hulk Product Options (Advanced Plan), Cowlendar (Ultra Plan), QuickBooks Online + Zapier/Make.com.
Requirements: Proven Shopify experience (portfolio required). Strong with Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Experience with Hulk Product Options or similar conditional-logic apps. Experience integrating booking/calendar apps (Cowlendar or similar) with Shopify. Experience with Zapier/Make.com automation and QuickBooks integration. Strong written English for back-and-forth on logic edge cases.
