HIRING: MEDICAL RECORD ABSTRACTION VA – US Account\n100% WFH / Remote\nPART-TIME — 20 HOURS/WEEK\nWorkers’ Compensation Case Documentation\nNON-CLINICAL / DOCUMENTATION ROLE\n\nWe’re looking for a detail-oriented Medical Record Abstraction VA to support workers’ compensation case documentation. This role involves reviewing medical records, organizing documentation, using an AI-powered summarization tool, and carefully verifying AI-generated summaries against the original records.\n\nMUST HAVE:\nPrevious experience in medical records, medical documentation, healthcare administration, medical billing, insurance verification, or related healthcare work\nComfortable reviewing and working with medical records\nStrong written English and reading comprehension\nExcellent data entry and documentation skills\nExtremely detail-oriented — able to identify missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information\nComfortable working with files, spreadsheets, databases, and healthcare systems\nAble to follow detailed templates, workflows, and documentation standards\nComfortable using AI tools while independently verifying the accuracy of AI-generated output\nAble to perform repetitive documentation work while maintaining accuracy and consistency\nReliable and able to work independently after training and QC feedback\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nAccess, review, organize, and rename client-provided medical records\nReview records including: ER reports, treating physician reports, MRI and other diagnostic reports, physical/occupational therapy records, operative reports, medical-legal evaluations\nRun individual records through the client’s AI summarization tool\nCompare AI-generated summaries against the original records and identify inaccuracies, omissions, or inconsistencies\nAssemble information into structured encounter notes using established templates\nOrganize documentation by body part/injury\nApply the appropriate template based on claim type\nHandle operative reports separately when required\nFlag missing or incomplete records\nMaintain clean, accurate, and consistent documentation\nFollow client security, documentation, and quality-control procedures\nMake corrections based on client feedback and QC findings\n\nNICE TO HAVE:\nWorkers’ compensation documentation experience\nMedical records abstraction experience\nExperience reviewing physician, diagnostic, therapy, operative, or medical-legal reports\nEMR/EHR or medical documentation system experience\nMedical billing/claims experience\nExperience with AI documentation, summarization, or data-processing tools\nProvider research, referral coordination, or insurance verification experience\n\nIMPORTANT:\nThis is a documentation and data abstraction role — NOT a clinical position.
