About the role
Review and process medical claims. Verify insurance eligibility and coverage. Submit claims accurately and on time. Follow up on denied or unpaid claims. Maintain patient and billing records in EHR/EMR systems. Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers. Monitor accounts receivable and assist with payment posting. Ensure HIPAA compliance and billing accuracy. Stay updated on medical billing regulations and insurance policies.
Qualifications: At least 6 months of Virtual Medical Billing experience. Familiarity with US healthcare private insurance providers. Experience using EHR/EMR systems (Athena, eCW, or similar). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Allied medical course background is a plus (but not required).
