WE'RE HIRING: AppFolio + QuickBooks Online Bookkeeper
š Full-Time | Long-Term Role | US Property Management Company
We are looking for an experienced AppFolio + QuickBooks Online Bookkeeper to take full ownership of day-to-day financial operations for a US-based property management company.
This is not a part-time gig, side project, or entry-level role. We are looking for someone who wants a stable, long-term position and is ready to take ownership of the numbers.
If you have less than 3 years of hands-on AppFolio experience or do not have strong QuickBooks Online experience, this may not be the right fit.
š¢ ABOUT THE ROLE
You will manage bookkeeping across:
š AppFolio - managed property portfolio
š QuickBooks Online - corporate books
The right person will have the opportunity to grow into owning the full finance function as the company grows.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ā¢ Post rent payments, late fees, and tenant charges
ā¢ Process AP, AR, vendor invoices, and payments
ā¢ Manage tenant and owner ledgers
ā¢ Handle maintenance work orders and coding
ā¢ Complete bank reconciliations in AppFolio and QuickBooks Online
ā¢ Review owner statements and process owner distributions
ā¢ Track security deposits and dispositions
ā¢ Support Pennsylvania security deposit trust account compliance
ā¢ Run and interpret P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
ā¢ Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues
ā¢ Support payroll and contractor payment workflows
ā¢ Help improve financial processes
ā
REQUIREMENTS
ā¢ 3+ years of hands-on AppFolio experience
ā¢ 3+ years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience
ā¢ Strong understanding of property management trust accounting
ā¢ Experience with bank reconciliations, owner statements, AP, AR, security deposits, and month-end close
ā¢ Excellent written English
ā¢ Reliable internet, quiet workspace, and backup plan for outages
ā¢ Available 9:00 AM-1:00 PM US Eastern Time, Monday-Friday
ā NICE TO HAVE
ā¢ US residential property management experience
ā¢ Payroll processing experience
ā¢ Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude
